Notes: The absolute best Beastie Boy book. Includes hundreds of photos of the Beastie Boys playing at gigs, jamming at G-Son, and hanging out in each other's company. Marcopoulos followed them during the year previous to Check Your Head all through post Ill Communication. If you buy one Beastie Boys book, this should be it.

Record Store Day Slipmat
Year: 2009
Notes: There were 5000 of these made and distributed to participating stores in the United States for Record Store Day (18th of April, 2009). According to the organizers "The label created these for us, so they took care of contacting the band and doing all that. I know the band signed off on it though." A Record Store Day participating store is defined as a physical retailer whose product line consists of at least 50% music retail, whose company is not publicly traded and whose ownership is at least 70% located in the state of operation. (In other words, we’re dealing with real, live, physical, indie record stores—not online retailers or corporate behemoths).
